At a Glance

This DH has a split personality. The first half along the lake is serious cottage and recreational territory. With a shortage of legal passing opportunities, and no shortage of speed tax collectors, you can get caught up in the heavy summer traffic. And that’s a shame because the pavement and serious lakeside twisties are top notch. Past the lake, however, the number of pylons thins and the scene changes dramatically. With its short gravel stretch through a canyon, empty fields, and rougher country roads, the setting is rural, at times almost bucolic. There’s even a winery up here where you can drop in for a free tasting. Just don’t overindulge-- and split your own personality.
Riders Reviews:

"The road along the lake is good, the climb up past the winery fun but the connecting gravel road now has a gate marked as private property (which they'd probably prefer you not go around)." -bddean
